Strengthening Arkansas’ Response to Child Abuse
CACar drives statewide initiatives that equip Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) and Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) with innovative, evidence-based practices and foster stronger collaboration. By supporting local teams and advancing system-wide improvements, our work transforms how Arkansas protects children and builds a more effective, connected response system for the future.

Collaborate Database
The Collaborate Database is a secure, statewide platform that supports CACs and MDTs by tracking services, outcomes and case coordination for the children and families they serve.
The system enables data-driven decision making, enhances collaboration and supports continuous improvement across the child protection response system.
MDT Protocol
In partnership with the MDT Oversight Committee and key stakeholders across the state, CACar is leading the development of the first Arkansas Model Multidisciplinary Team Protocol. This collaborative effort is designed to create a shared framework for best practices in Arkansas’ child abuse response system and strengthen effective, coordinated collaboration among MDT partners statewide.
CAC Best Practices
CACar facilitates standardized, proven practices, guiding CACs in delivering consistent, high-quality services to children and families. This child-focused approach to care is grounded in research, evidence and field-tested expertise, ensuring every child receives compassionate support, coordinated services and access to interventions designed to improve outcomes.
Statewide Expertise
CACar oversees seven statewide committees, composed of CAC frontline professionals and leaders, as they work together to share expertise, address emerging issues and guide best practices. This collaborative network strengthens service delivery and supports a coordinated, effective response to child abuse across Arkansas.
April is National Child
Abuse Prevention Month
Every April is an opportunity to stand together to protect children, strengthen families, build safer communities and remind every child in Arkansas that they are not alone. Here are ways you can show your support in April:

-
Support your local CAC by attending an awareness event, volunteering, making a donation or sharing its work with others.
-
Wear blue! Throughout April, show your support by wearing blue. Be sure to participate in WeAR Blue Day, held on the first Friday of April.
-
Display pinwheels, the national symbol of child abuse and neglect prevention, to promote hope, healthy childhoods and strong families.
-
Spread awareness about child abuse prevention, recognizing the signs of abuse and reporting resources such as the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline.

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued and loved. Let’s commit to awareness, action and advocacy — not only in April, but every day of the year.
